This versatile strawberry sauce can be used warm as a substitute for syrup on pancakes or waffles, or chilled and used as a topper for oatmeal, plain yogurt, or toast for a boost of fiber, antioxidants, heart healthy fats, and flavor!
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pot.
- Cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring roughly every 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately (if using warm), or let cool, cover and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
- If serving chilled, sauce can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.
