This banana split bread is a sundae in a slice! It’s a fun twist on classic banana bread, adding dried cherries, nuts and chocolate. Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Mash the bananas and add the butter in a large bowl.
- Into the same bowl, mix in the baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Mix in the flour until incorporated.
- Stir in walnuts, chocolate chunks, and dried cherries (make sure the cherries are tossed with 1 tablespoon of flour to prevent sinking).
- Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Serve with whipped cream if desired.
