A little tangy, a little sweet, and just enough citrus to brighten it all up. These fig “flowers” bring together creamy blue cheese, juicy fruit and a hint of lemon for a bite that feels equal parts fresh and special.
Instructions
- Remove the tough tip of all the figs then make two cuts at the top of each (but don’t go all the way to the bottom) forming a cross then open the figs slightly from the top to fill the center of each fig with blue cheese.
- Top the cheese with about ¼ teaspoon lemon zest then place as much toasted nuts as possible on top. They stick nicely to blue cheese!
- Cover and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
