Which fruits and vegetables are phytonutrient-rich?

However, there are other actions of phytonutrients that make them important for health. For example, dark green leafy vegetables, cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower, and citrus fruits all contain phytonutrients that are associated with potential health benefits. However, health benefits associated with fruit and vegetable intake are generally related to total consumption. Your best bet to assure a phytonutrient rich diet is to consume a wide variety of colorful fruits and vegetables every day to meet your recommended intake.
