Which is sweeter – huckleberries or blackberries?

Answer

Huckleberries and blackberries both have a sweetness profile described as tart to sweet.  Both are at their peak of flavor or sweetness when they are ripe. Huckleberries are abundant during the fall while blackberries are abundant during the summer.  Companies harvest fruits and vegetables at their peak of ripeness for post-harvest use so keep in mind an alternative to fresh fruit is frozen, canned, dried and 100% juice and count towards your daily fruit and vegetable intake recommendation.
