Is it unhealthy to consume similar vegetables in the same day?

Answer

It is better to eat two servings of a similar vegetable, than no servings of vegetables at all. Although new potatoes and sweet potatoes are similar, they do have some differences. Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of vitamin A and new potatoes are almost two times higher in potassium than sweet potatoes. However, eating a variety of vegetables is important for getting all the vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals that your body needs.
