All fruits can be worked into a meal plan for diabetes, but since they do contain carbohydrate, the portions need to be controlled. One-half of a Maradol papaya contains 15 grams of carbohydrate (2 grams fiber & 11 grams sugar) and half of an apple contains about 17 grams of carbohydrate (2.5 grams fiber & 12 grams sugar).
