Can I Consume Cara Cara Oranges if I Take Cholesterol Medicine?

Answer

Cara cara oranges are technically a navel orange type and do not contain furanocoumarin compounds known to interact with statins (cholesterol medicines).  If you take a statin, you should be able to consume this type of orange, however, I recommend you always check with your doctor, health care provider, or pharmacist about drug interactions including those with food.
