Can 100% Juice Count Towards My Daily Recommendation of Fruits and Vegetables?


Juice labeled 100% juice can count towards your daily recommendation of fruits and vegetables.  A one-cup equivalent of fruit is closely equal to 1 cup/8 fluid ounces of 100% juice.  The 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommends that no more than half of an individual’s daily fruit servings come from 100% juice. How or when you choose to consume the juice is a personal preference.  Remember all forms matter,  fresh, frozen, canned, dried, and 100% juice.
