Easy Slow Cooker BBQ Vegetable Topping

The burger topping vegetables in this recipe feature sliced mushrooms and sliced peppers.  However, you can change up the variety of colors of peppers or even the type of mushroom that you use.

In this recipe, we are using green bell pepper along with sliced white mushrooms.

Other toppings that go well with this delicious combination are diced avocados and sliced grape tomatoes.

Barbecue Mushrooms & Bell Pepper Recipe

The flavors of this easy veggie topping are so delicious and perfectly pair with your traditional barbecue items.

Serves 8-10 people


8 ounces sliced mushrooms, washed

2 Bell Peppers, any color, washed and sliced into strips

1 jar of Barbecue Sauce 18 ounces (Sugar Free if desired)


  1. Add all ingredients into slow cooker.
  2. Mix to coat ingredients with barbecue sauce.
  3. Cook in slow cooker/crock pot on high for 2 to 3 hours.
  4. Serve as desired over burgers or as a side dish for barbecue.
