A classic hot toddy is hot water, lemon, honey, and whiskey. This recipe adds spices that bring super flavor and anti-inflammatory compounds to the party.

Instructions

  1. In a small pot combine the water, star anise, cinnamon stick, ginger, and turmeric. Bring to a boil.
  2. Meanwhile, stir honey and whiskey or bourbon together in the bottom of a mug. Once the water and spices come to a boil, remove from heat and pour over honey and alcohol. Squeeze lemon into mug. Stir well. Leave cinnamon and star anise in your mug for added aroma. Enjoy!
