Put this plant-powered twist on a classic - sloppy joes get an upgrade!


  1. Add mushrooms to a food processor (or similar) and chop into small pieces.
  2. In a nonstick skillet or frying pan, brown beef, mushrooms, bell pepper and onion over medium heat. While meat is cooking, you can make your Sloppy Jane sauce by blending the next seven ingredients together in a small bowl. When meat is nicely browned, stir in the sauce and simmer for a few minutes on low heat. Add pepper to taste.
  3. While meat is simmering, toast buns if desired. Spoon beef mixture onto buns and top with grated cheese if desired. Serve open-faced or like a hamburger!
