Seasoning foods can be tricky, but sodium in any form of salt (e.g. sea salt, table salt, etc.) is associated with high blood pressure. At least one brand of salt replaces some of the sodium chloride with potassium chloride, which is a better alternative. Better yet, try using fresh herbs, lemons, or salt-free seasonings such as garlic and onion powder to keep flavor and protect your heart. Check out our nutritious recipes for ideas.
