How do I recognize organic produce at the grocery store?

Answer

Organic varieties of all different forms of fruits and vegetables are becoming more prevalent in supermarkets and convenience stores all around the country.  Therefore, finding organic fruits and other organic foods has never been easier. At your grocer, loose organic fruits and vegetables that meet the standards of the National Organic Program (NOP) may exhibit the green-and-white “USDA Organic” label and have a price code sticker starting with the number 9. Visit your local supermarket, farmers market, or whole foods store to purchase organic fruits and vegetables.  To learn more about organic farming visit USDA.
