How do I know if my 9 month old baby is ingesting the right amount of iodine?

Answer

The average recommended amount of iodine for an infant 7 to 12 months old is 130 mcg.  Iodine is available in breast milk, infant formula, and food sources.  I recommend you consult your pediatrician to assess your baby’s fluid and food intake and adequacy of nutrient intake to include iodine.
