Rabiya Bower, RD, LDN is the regional nutrition manager for The GIANT Company in the greater Philadelphia area. Her home store is in Flourtown, PA. As a retail dietitian, she helps promote wellness initiatives for team members, in the store, and in the community. She developed GIANT’s first Kids Cooking program, which brought children and caregivers in the store to share a story and healthy snack. Currently, she teaches Mini Chef Mornings classes virtually once a week. She also teaches at the Science of Nutrition – Online , an introductory nutrition course, at Manor College.
As a preceptor for multiple dietetic internships and a mentor for Diversity Dietetics and the Women’s Leadership Initiative at Penn State, she positively influences the next generation of dietitians and health professionals.
Rabiya loves to bring people together by joyfully sharing food. As a non-diet dietitian, she promotes intuitive eating and mindful eating. She’s a fierce HAES advocate and truly believes, “all foods fit!” In her spare time, she loves to have spontaneous dance parties in her kitchen with her daughter and spend too much time on her bookstagram (and social media, in general). She’s never met a piece of dark chocolate she didn’t like!
