Try Something New

I take my two daughters to the grocery store about once a month and let them pick an
exotic (unkown to us) fruit or vegetable.
At
home we find a recipe on how to wash, cook, peel or prepare the fruit or vegetable.
The girls have a good time, they learn about new fruits or vegetables and the best part is that they are very willing to try something new.
Not everything we buy becomes a staple in our diet, but we certainly have fun and have introduced new items into our meal plan.
