I CAN’T FIGURE OUT HOW TO OVERCOME THIS ONE OBSTACLE TO EATING MORE FRUITS AND VEGGIES. I DISLIKE REFRIGERATED COLD FOOD. I LIKE ALL OF MY FRUITS AND VEGGIES ROOM TEMPERATURE. I DRINK ROOM TEMPERATURE BEVERAGES AS WELL. IF I KEEP MY FRUITS AND VEGGIES IN THE FRIDGE, I DON’T EAT THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO COLD. IF I KEEP THEM UNREFRIGERATED, THEY SPOIL, AND I DON’T EAT THEM. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO KEEP FRUITS AND VEGGIES IN A READILY EDIBLE STATE AT ALL TIMES. THIS IS MY DILEMMA! HELP.

Eating more fruits and veggies is an admirable goal. Dried fruits and vegetables might work well for you and there are many varieties available now. You might try dried cherries, cranberries, mangoes, blueberries, apricots, pineapples, apples, blackberries and of course raisins. Freeze- dried carrots, peas, corn and bell peppers are available as mixtures or single items.

You can still use fresh produce by planning ahead. Keep your produce in the refrigerator, but every morning, take out those items that you plan to eat that day. Most produce will be fine left on a counter until they come to room temperature the way you like it.
