Valencia Orange Vanilla Honey Butter

Prep Time: 10 minsServings: About ¾ cup
This sweet orange butter can turn a slice of toast or a plain buttermilk biscuit into a decadent breakfast or brunch. Use it to top pancakes or waffles on Saturday morning, or make up a batch and store it in sealable containers to give as a gift with a basket of fresh baked goods.

Instructions

Place the butter, honey, and orange zest into the bowl of a mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Split and scrape the half of vanilla bean. Add the seed paste to the bowl. Mix on medium for 30 seconds, and then mix on high for about 1 minute. Stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl. Mix on high for 30 more seconds or until the butter reaches your desired whipped consistency. Serve immediately, or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks. Allow the butter to sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes to soften it before serving.
