Choose green sugar apples with a yellowish color between the knobs on the surface. Red sugar apples should be picked when the color between knobs on the surface of the fruit becomes bright pink. If the fruit is picked prior to these color changes it may not ripen or ripen properly. Choose apples that are free from bruises and blemishes.

STORE

Allow sugar apples to soften at room temperature. Once softened, place in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 days.
