roasted root vegetables

What’s the best way to reheat roasted veggies?

Answer

Roasted veggies can lose their crispy, crunchy texture after being stored in the fridge. To reheat them an avoid sad, soggy veggies here’s a couple techniques to try:

Reheat roasted veggies on the stovetop.

  • Heat about 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Once the oil is warm, add a layer of roasted veggies to the pan and let them cook for about 5 minutes. Toss the veggies halfway through cooking. You can tell they are done when they’re sizzling and start to brown even more.

Reheat roasted veggies in the oven.

  • Drizzle a sheet pan with olive oil. Place in a cold oven and turn the oven on to 400-425 degrees.
  • Once your oven is preheated, removed the sheet pan with potholders. Place your chilled roasted veggies evenly on the sheet pan.
  • Return to the oven for about 5-10 minutes to reheat. They’re done when sizzling and have started to brown even more.

Reheat roasted veggies in the air fryer.

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees.
  • Place you chilled roasted veggies in an even layer in the air fryer basket. You may want to spray them with an olive oil spray to bring back some flavor and help with texture.
  • Air fry the veggies for 3-5 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through to ensure even reheating.
